Born in Uttar Khamer village, Kapasia, Gazipur District, Shafaul Haque is the fourth of five children (2 brothers, 3 sisters) to Mawlana Md. Bazlur Rahman, an Islamic scholar, and Fatema. His education began with Arabic studies under his father's guidance.
